"...there's nothing more magical than a child enthralled by a fairy tale. These stories unite us in the human experience and teach us valuable lessons that will stay with us all of our days... In a perfect mix of storytelling and ballet geared specifically to the little ones.."

"Once upon a time..." are some of the most magical words ever written. They create an atmosphere of anticipation in the same way that an overture sets the scene for a full-length ballet. Pages to Pirouettes St. Louis hopes to set the scene for accessible story ballet here in the Midwest.

Like our Pages to Pirouettes partner in Philadelphia our mission is "to enrich cultural awareness and dance appreciation in the community by bringing the art of story ballet to young audiences."

In each performance we endeavor to make connections between literary works and dance as a story telling agent. Our performances begin with story time, continue with dancing the story and finish with an interactive and educational dance time with the audience.

For the past 14 years Pages to Pirouettes, Philadelphia has experienced great success in our efforts to make lasting connections with young audiences in the greater Philadelphia area, New Jersey and Delaware. Now we look forward to sharing this engaging arts opportunity with young audiences here in the greater St. Louis area.
